I've got a pack of Dentyne* Gum, but I don't see the Augmented Reality marker.

You may have picked up a pack of Dentyne* Gum that doesn't have a marker. Double check and make sure you've got one of the following new, specially-marked Action Pack* flavours: Dentyne* Fire*, Dentyne* Intense*, Dentyne* Peppermint, Dentyne* Spearmint and Dentyne* Shiver.

What are the system requirements to bring my Dentyne* Action Pack* to life?

To get the best performance, close any programs you have running in the background and make sure you have latest version of Adobe Flash Player (version 10) installed on your computer. You can pick it up here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/. For PC Users ensure you’re running Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. Mac Users, make sure you running OX 10.5 Leopard or better. Also make sure your browser is on the latest update. For Internet Explorer update to version 8 or above, for Safari use version 4 or above for Firefox use version 3.6 or above. Lastly, ensure your Webcam is plugged-in and accessible by the browser.

I'm upgraded, but this Dentyne* Action Pack* isn't giving me any action, what gives?

There are few things you can do to ensure your Dentyne* Action Pack* is brought to life. Follow these steps carefully and you’ll be practicing in no time.

  1. Keep your Action Icon (aka "marker"), on the back of your pack, about 10 inches (approx. 25 centimeters) away from your camera. If the Action Icon is too far away, your camera won't be able to detect it. Hold it to close, and you won't be able to see your screen.
  2. Make sure you're using your Dentyne* Action Pack* under normal lighting conditions. Bright lights can obscure the Action Icon, while too little light won't allow your webcam to recognize the Action Icon accurately.
  3. Keep your Action Pack* steady. Quick or jerky movements limit the Action Icon's detection by your webcam.
  4. Make sure your Action Pack* isn't obscured or damaged. Covered, bent or creased Action Icons will impair their detection.
  5. Avoid tilting your Action Pack to extreme angles while visible in the camera. Partially visible Action Icons cannot be detected.
  6. If you are still experiencing any issues with detection, please close and restart the application. Also, make sure you meet the minimum operating-system requirements (Leopard 10.5 or higher for Mac users, Windows XP or higher for PC users).
